On the 14 April 2013, my brother was driving my car and was involved in an accident. I had reported this claim with my insurance (MIWAY). During their investigations leon had a meeting with me at my place of work.he had accused me of being at the scene of the accident when it had occurred. I denied this allegation as I was not there. he further requested our cell phone beacon report which I had obliged and gave it to him. a day later he wanted a copy of my bank statement and my brothers. I got a call this morning from Leon advising me that my claim has been rejected and that I must remove my vehicle from SMD immediately and that I will be liable for all storage costs and repairs to my vehicle. he claims that my brother was driving under the influence of alcahol when the accident occurred. there were the Durban metro together with the ambulance service on the scene who could have insisted on a blood test or even a breathaliser be taken. this was not done and according to Leon, he has witnesses claiming that the driver was drunk. I need to know what qualifies anybody to make such allegations and how can MIWAY even entertain and base their claims on heresay.
