After a transaction, my cards were replaced and I was refunded the R12880 . Only for the charge back department to take that amount off again 6 weeks later. This is an error on the Standard Bank system confirmed by them. What this did as it was month end was cause my account to be overdrawn causing 3 debit orders to bounce. Not to mention the fact I now cannot draw any money since the 31st October. After waiting for over an hour at 3 different call centres no one could help me or fix the error. What concerns me is the total lack of cohesion within the bank, the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. I was assured a manager was going to call me by close of business Friday. No call as yet. All this happened on Friday so no money in my account over the weekend. This service is so shocking I would say it is the worst error / service you can receive for any company as it affects your life big time. I sincerely urge anyone reading this to stay away from them. They truly are the most backward bank in SA, no innovation with each dept acting as a silo independently from eachother.
