I have been having a problem with a ABSA speedpoint machine since 28 Dec 2012. I have reported it on numerous occasions to ABSA merchant services (Ref no's. 7340234, 7354695, I7405752, 7416215). Each time the machine gives the same problem again. Then I have to wait? 48 hrs before a technician can come out. Today eventually they replaced it with a new machine. But the technician failed to activate my supervisor card on the machine. So nothing can be done on the machine, as I cannot program petrol and diesel prices into it (i work at a busy filling station). At least 20% of my customers use fleet cards or credit/debit cards to pay for fuel, and now we have to show them away to the opposition because ABSA cannot sort out a simple problem. That machine has only worked about 7 days in the last month, so you can imagine how much business we have lost over this period. Please send a COMPETENT person to sort this out ASAP!
