My FNB smart phone was a couple of months ago. I reported it to FNB as soon as it happened and still it took a week af ter contacting other departments, for claims to get back to me. They advised that they will back date insurance on the device and I have since started paying R170 per month on insurance on a device that I no longer have. I have been in contact with Drika in claims who advise that it will cost me R2000 excess to have my smartphone replaced. She would have contacted the bank to find out what the amount owed to them was. This was 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting for contact.
Today I received a email from the insurance that my premium will be going up with R13 a month!
I am furious, I am paying FNB for a device I no longer have and the insurance on a device I no longer have!!! All I would like is someone to let me know what is going on and what my options are... I would advise anyone against taking on a smart phone or tablet from FNB. There is no service after the fact.
