Disappointed in FNB AND EBUCKS

Good day,

A month ago I applied for and activated my FNB PLATINUM CREDIT CARD.

With all the marketing and advertising that FNB does, my main reason for wanting a credit card was to earn Ebucks.

I just received my first months statement where in the last month I spent approx. R3000 of which R2000 relates to fuel purchases.

I see on the statement that I received NO EBUCKS for my fuel purchases.

Upon query with the credit card division I was informed that I would receive no Ebucks on fuel for the first 2 months of using my credit card.

My problem with the above is the following:

1) nowhere was I told that I would not receive Ebucks for my fuel purchases for the first 2 months! If I had known this I would've used my cheque card to purchase fuel so that I could ATLEAST receive some Ebucks as opposed to no Ebucks!

2) why would you give me Ebucks on my normal purchases for the first 2 months and not on my fuel purchases??

I find this to be unacceptable! I have a number of accounts with FNB and I expect better service from SA's "Coolest Bank"
