Upgraded to BlackBerry 9790 (fiercely promoted/recommended by assistant) in July 2012. Since Oct 2012 to 1 Dec 2012 phone for repairs 3 times, due to selecting Calender caused phone to freeze, battery boiling hot & run down in few minutes. Evaluated by Adv Repair Centre, JHB - 1. returned as 100%; 2. same problem, returned fully refurbished new battery; 3. same problem, replaced with brand new phone. - 8 weeks without service I paid for; all lost except tel nos.

New phone in on 2 Apl 2013 - scroll button freezing, battery heating and running down. E-mails and telephone calls from pillar to post. Gaynor Assur - they never have complaints on 9790 but guy in shop said 9790 problems all the time; problem due to use of harmful websites (I don't use internet on phone) or photo on phone (10 on phone, taken with phone); only nos. be re-installed. Natheer Adams concludes on 18 Apl that phone is 100% and must be collected; new software installed (as should be done regularly on all phones, even if bought today); contract can't be upgraded to another phone. No apologies or refunds for non usage!
