My Blackberry 9790 handset keeps rebooting itself

I got my Blackberry 9790 handset on a Vodacom contract in 2012, soon after that I realised that the phones battery life wasn't good but what used to irritate me the most was that "freeze" quite regularly. A major problem that I had recently was that the phone kept rebooting itself, and this would happen more than once a day, so on the 28th of July I had the software upgraded by the Blackberry buddies in Sandton City, after this I noticed that the phone had become worse and was rebooting consecutively so after consulting with the Blackberry Buddies again they suggested that I take it to the service provider for a check-up because it could be a hardware problem.
After a few days I called to find out about my phone and they said there is a quotation and I need to pay R2200 because of water damage, my phone has never been subjected to water so I have rejected this quote as I believe the phone has a hardware problem and believe Vodacom should fix it (I have also seen online that many other people around the world are having the same problem with the 9790) so do all of them have water damage aswell? I've been a loyal Vodacom subscriber and I am being hard done by Vodacom. Fix my phone.
