Vodacom
False Advertising and dishonouring of contract

In March edition of Vodacom's specials pg 12, it was advertised that if you trade in your old Blackberry 8520 you can get the new Blackberry 9320 INCLUDING BIS for R149 per month for 24 months. The deal ended on the 6th of April 2013 and I went to take out this contract and the contract was issued on that very same day.

In the shop, the shop manager, Yolandie, promised that everything will be activated within 24 hours. 24 hours later, the phone couldn't even phone out! And BIS was not activated.

Today, Monday, the 8th of April, MORE than 48 hours later, the BIS is still not activated! We tried phoning 155 to activate the BIS, but they want to charge ADDITIONAL to activate BIS. Why! This was included in the contract?!

Today, I had to take off work to go back to the store as their shop number isn't even listed. There Yolandie once again promised that it will be activated today after admitting that it was their fault since they have a backlog of work. She promised to phone back (which she did only after I phoned first) to say the backlog is still there but it will be activated by the end of today. It still isn't activated & it's 22:40!

This is breach of contract AND false advertising
