Call Limit sat at R50. charged R900

This is regarding my 3G card that i pay a set amount a month for two gigs. I was very worried about going over as the rates are crazy so I took the contract under the condition that there is a limit, which the vodacom set at R50. When I call now they still agree it is R50. However last month they charged me R700 (R500 more than normal) and now this month R900. When I call to ask the situation they said that the call limit does not work 100% of the time and not always accurate. So what's the point of the call limit? Apparently these are in the terms and conditions I agreed to on the phone, they have yet to find this recording.
