Falsely accused of water damage to phone

Took my phone in to the MTN shop in Rivonia because it had stopped working. The Blackberry guy said it needed to be booked in. Took it to the repairs counter and was informed that it would take 2 weeks. This was not an option so the guy said it could be taken to the HIGH VOLUMES REPAIRS CENTRE in Midrand and it would take 2 days max. This was done and it all went smoothly. The next day my friend phoned the specified number 0839000349, quoted the reference ALWIC3378533 to Phaphamang and he said the phone was damaged beyond economical repair. My friend asked if it would be exchanged, (as this is what the lady said needed to be asked when the phone was booked in) he said yes. I went to fetch my phone and was then informed that the phone actually had water damage and could not be replaced due to some warranty issues with regards to water damage. This is impossible as it hasn't been near any water EVER!!! I was shown some pictures of the water damage which quite frankly could be any phone. They also gave me some excuse that it could be humidity or sweat which could cause this damage. What a joke!!! I am frustrated as there is a simple solution to this and it's become an ugly battle!!!
