No smiles for me

I recently booked my phone in for repairs on Sunday 23 June. My bb was not switching on at all even though I charged it the entire day. Also my media card repair was failing?
Everyday since my phone was booked in I received an update as to what the status was. The latest update was that an estimate of R1881 needed to be paid. I have a contract, so I assumed that it would be covered?
I called the repair center and was directed to different people for over 5 mins. Eventually the guy advised me that my power point was the problem? I explained that I charge my ipod, another bb that I have for over 2 years and non of them have any problem? How can my bb that I have for less than a year be the only one with a problem?
He directed my call to the store manger, who informed me that I had WATER DAMAGE! I can with all honesty say that my phone hasn't had any contact with water. But I was advised that water damage could be: SWEAT OF HANDS, HEAT etc.
I have been with Vodacom for over 5 years now, when they tell you about water damage, they NEVER MENTION THIS!!! And obviously they don't tell you, cause they don't cover water damage!!
