Vodacom
Words fail me

On 29 January I handed in my Blackberry Bold 9900 at Vodacare Sandton City for repairs. Phone freezes, switches off by itself, gives SIMcard error - all issues experienced by other 9900 users if you look online... There is a small crack in the screen where I dropped the phone a month after I received it (March 2012) and I tell the consultant that I DO NOT WANT THE SCREEN FIXED, I just want the phone to work (software upgrade)

Today I get a quote from Vodacom for R964.26. I call them as the phone is still under warranty, and I'm told the R964.26 is to fix the screen. So I explain again that I sent in the phone so the software can be upgraded, NOT FOR THE SCREEN TO BE FIXED.

I am told that they cannot repair the phone and NOT replace the screen, I must pay the money or they won't fix it. I spoke to the Repairs Manager at the branch, who said I must call "Advanced Repairs" and explain to them.

Here's the deal - I AM DONE EXPLAINING THAT I DO NOT WANT THE SCREEN FIXED! I just want the phone to work! So Vodacom - when can I expect a WORKING phone back?
