MTN Insurance recently declined a claim that I made due to their reason being that my upgrade handset had no insurance as I had apparently not updated it. Now the consultant who did my upgrade asked me if I wanted insurance on this handset and I replied yes. I then called 808 to confirm as she told me to and the gentleman I eventually spoke to told me that yes, all was well on my upgrade and that it had insurance. Now they make it my fault that they internally did not communicate and I must suffer? MTN has provided the worst service ever and since I do not work for MTN I was told all was well by the consultant and I expect my claim to be paid. MTN somehow has to solve this issue and I am glad all calls are recorded as I remember all my conversations with 808. Now I cant even get a sim swap as every single MTN store in JHB says they don't have sim cards or they don't do insurance sim swap. My life has basically stood still because of this Network.
