My Samsung Galaxy S3 phone was on Tuesday, I stopped the phone at 808 and disenabled the phone usage, I went to the police and obtained a case number, the following day I went to Cavendish Square to obtain a new sim card as my work relies on cell connectivity. I was advised that in order to claim for a new handset I would need to go to Greenstone MTN as that was where my original contract was loaded, after 4 VERY frustrating days. I was informed by MTN Insurance that as I DID NOT ENSURE that the fax sent to MTN Insurance, advising of the updated handset, that MTN Insurance would not pay out the claim. I have been with MTN Insurance since 1994... and have never been treated so poorly, currently I am moving and all documents are in storage so I cannot obtain copies of the fax sent to prove that the handset was updated. Advise to everyone, CANCEL MTN INSURANCE, OUTSURANCE will pay your claim no need to update a new handset!!!
