Phone under warrantee

In June 2012 I Bought the Samsung S2 from Incredible Connection the Grove Center in Pretoria. Experienced problems and they referred me to VODACOM REPAIRS MENLYN CENTRE (PRETORIA.) It was taken in for repairs in Dec 2013. I phoned on 24Jan 2014 and asked if I can pick up my phone. The consultant said it was not repaired and they will not repair or replace phone (Samsung instructed them.) How can a Company just take a phone out of warrantee. There was no water damage to the phone. Explanation please.
