Vodacom
Illegal tactics to avoid warrantee obligation

On 09/08/2013 I brought my phone (IMEI no - 357461043863987) to be repaired for a faulty trackerball (Job number 9101517-56153936) and received the "repaired" phone on 13/08/2013 at 15h45. Upon receiving the phone I advised the service consultant (Daniel) that the trackerball works for a few minutes and then freezes again so it is not fixed. I then handed the phone back to service consultant and went back the following day (14/08/2013) to find out on the status of the phone, and was advised that a new job card has been generated (9111822-56154348) to look to repair the phone. A week later (22/08/2013) I called Vodacom Repairs Cresta again to enquire on the progress of the repairs and to my shock was advised that there was "water damage" on the phone and suggested that I caused the problem.
I refuted this suggestion and advised that the phone has been in Vodacom's possession for past 3-4 weeks (9/08/2013 - 22/08/2013) and how could I during that period have caused further damage to the phone and why on initial inspection by Vodacom on the 9/08/2013 did they not inform me of "water damage". I suspect foul-play on the part of Vodacom in this regard and I'm still without a fone today.
