Galaxy S3 suffered Sudden Death, Vodacom said "BER"

I love my Galaxy S3 and Samsung. I got it 13 months back from Vodacom on contract. One week ago my GS3 was working fine, when 5 minutes later it was dead. It was just lying on the bed. I've ever dropped it, it was never in for repairs before, never came near liquid. I changed batteries, it did not work, I tried charging, that didn't work. The pc also did not recognise the phone.

I Google'd the symptoms and it came up a lot: Sudden death Syndrome. It is apparently a bad chip on some Galaxy S3's. I read that overseas they replace the motherboard, as it is a known issue. But in South Africa it seems not.

I already complained to Vodacom, because when I sent it in for repairs they wanted to give it back to me after a week, saying it was Beyond Economic Repair! And then the lady went on to tell me it was water damage! Unbelievable! After it went to your service centre Samsung? I could not believe that the actual problem of Sudden Death was not picked up. I believe Vodacom is lying to me, because saying it is water damage is the easy way out of repairing my phone.

I expect from Samsung to deal with this, as my Galaxy S3 is again booked into Vodacom Menlyn and sent to you..
