Vodacom wont honour warrantee

Hi.

My name is Denzil Jacobs and I entered into a 2 year cellular contract with Vodacom and got a Samsung S2 part of the deal which included 1 year manufactuer gurantee and another year added for the Service provider.

About 14 months into my contract the phone started to experience problems with charging. The phone worked fine just you sometimes had to wrap the cellphone charger around the phoen to get it charging.

I took the phone to Vodacom Repairs in Cresta for repaits and they refused claiming it was liquid damaged and Beyond Economical Repair. They refused to give me any proof of the liquid damage. I then sent my phone to Samsung Authorized repairers in Cape Town who confirmed the damage and that no liquid damage was found on the phone.

I then went ack to Vodacom repairs but now they suddenly had obtained a picture of my phone with liquid damage and refused to repair it and honour their warantee.

Anyhow I had my phone fixed and all that was damaged was the charging block which was repaired in 20 minutes.

I have since lodged complain with the Consumer Commision
