Causing unnecessary cost due to pathetic service!!

I visited Vodacom Customer Care in Pietermaritzburg last week to have my phone repaired as the camera was faulty. The consultant booked my phone in and it returned on Friday after which I had called to find out if my phone has arrived and it was not repaired!! I had called the Durban Hub and the lady who answered said that my phone is not a Vodacom handset. through our conversation, she said I could have bought the phone through Nashua or its out of warranty. I explained that I only got the phone in August and I bought it directly from the Vodacom site. Firstly I am not so stupid to send another service providers phone to Vodacom and even if I did i would have known that I have to pay for repairs if its out of warranty. I had to drive 40k's back home and find the tax invoice and drive back just to prove its a Vodacom phone and it will most probably take another week till I get a new phone. Had someone even bothered to find out if it was a Vodacom phone, I could have faxed proof of my invoice. I was really irritated with the unnecessary cost and time Vodacom had caused because their so called engineers figured it was not a Vodacom phone.
