Mtn sim activation and sim swap

I recently did an upgrade with mtn but the activation of the new sim card process .with a passport you are not able to activate the sim online and that, and I had to phone mtn activation department and no one responds and the customer service they keep transferring my phone calls, maybe the best option is to cancel the contract.
