I received a letter from MTN that stated that I can choose any accessories for R300.00 when upgrading my contract.
Nowhere on the letter was an expiry date, it only stated that I could have upgraded my contract from 1 September 2013. When I upgraded my contract on 23/12/2013 the salesman (Eugene van Zyl) told me that the letter was no longer active and that he had to send in the letter to head office to get approval for the R300.00 accessories. He would have contacted me within 2 days but I did not receive any call from him until 07/01/2014. The reason for him calling back was because I emailed them 2 days before and complained about the poor service. And the fact that they sent out letters to get you to upgrade and then tell you its no longer valid and "need" approval.
When he phoned me he told me that the accessories was approved and that I can go to the store and choose anything for R300. When I got there on 12/01/2014 they had no stock for the phone I upgraded to. He again would have phoned me back before 14/01/2014 and until today no call...
This is unacceptable!! Its almost a month since I've upgraded my contract and still have no "Free accessories"!
