I received a R500 accessory discount with my upgrade in June 2013. The MTN store at the Grove where I did my upgrade did not have any accessories. Every so often I phoned to find out if they had anything. I phoned 2 days ago, and they finally had stock. Today when I went to the store to redeem my discount, I was told that they can't help me because the voucher is 4 months old. I told the salesperson that their store DID NOT HAVE STOCK FOR 4 MONTHS, and I was told I can only use this discount at their store (as this was where I upgraded). I was then told he would phone head office, if I can come back in 15 minutes. I did, and was then told he has not yet received an email back. According to him, head office never answers their phones, so they always send emails... Could he not tell me this? Why tell me to come back in 15minutes?
I also asked why they couldn't handle the query themselves? I upgraded with them, so could only use the voucher at their store. They didn't have stock for 4 months. There is no expiry on the accessory discount. How difficult is this to understand? This is the worst service I have ever received.
