Vodacom
Contravening Consumer protection law

We purchased a Samsung tablet on our Vodacom contract Monday 6/1/2014, Our child goes to a private school starting tomorrow and they need the Samsung tablet to download their text books etc, Tomorrow being 13/1/2014. The tablet is still brand new in its original wrapping etc and will not charge or even switch on, it does not work full stop, we returned to the same store to get a replacement and they refused to replace the tablet. They said they need 7 days to either repair or replace, that is unacceptable as we needed the tablet immediately. this is totally unacceptable and contra venues all CPA laws. I then stated that I wanted to cancel the contract, so I could buy another one that worked and they stated that they will charge me a cancelation fee of R6000. I am now going on 702, carte blanche and every other avenue to take on Vodacom, we are clients of theirs for 20 years with many devices on contract and will be cancelling all private and company related deals with them. Vodacom contract of purchase is unlawful as it contravenes CPA laws
