Contract Changed without permission

I went into Tygervalley Mtn to upgrade my handset. The consultant changed my contract from a TopUp contract to an open contract without informing me. Yes I signed the documents without realising they had changed the contract. ln future when I go to Mtn I will make sure I read every word of the contract.

The manager tells me that the reason is probably because I indicated the R489 deal and the phone I wanted would have cost R529 on a topup contract. The consultant did not discuss this with me at all. I wanted the phone so I would still have taken the phone at R529 per month as opposed to paying a bill in excess of R1000 per month.
