I had a contract with mtn for a R149 pm for 24 months when the contract was up i walked into a mtn store in vanderbijlpark at the checkers and asked the lady behind the counter what i should do she then said that i should cancell my debit order because if the contract is up they will cancell it. Then in september i got a call to say i was in arrears with them and in order for me to cancel the contract i need to pay over the R600 which i dont have otherwise the contract will just continue. I think that this is pathetic i dont have R600 to pay all at once and nobody has given me the option to cancell the contract and pay them off. I will NEVER again take out a contract at mtn because their customer service is absolutely pathetic. They said i have got free minutes and i dont want to use this and i havent used it. I would like someone to urgently get back to me on this because i want to see the contract i signed for which allowed them to charge me after the 24 months otherwise i will be taking this to the ombudsman.
