Termination of contract

I took a cell phone contract on 29.12.13 from James, when got home i realised that the contract that i have signed is not the one i needed, next day I took it back to the shop when i got there i spoke to James explaining to him that I need to cancel this contract due to my financial reasons, cannot afford it. He responded arrogantly telling me that i cannot cancel the contract.he said that vodacom contracts once you have signed you cannot cancel even within 48hours its their policy.i asked him what must i do then cause i cannot afford this contract, he told me that i must buy phone cash R8500.00 .James drafted some agreement on company letter head stating that i will buy phone cash since i am cancelling a contract. I refused to sign felt being robbed, crooked by arrogant James. He is very incompetent l must say.it is shocking to see such big company as vodacom still crooking customers just to increase their sales, James need to be stopped, he is arrogant with a very bad attitude giving people the wrong Contracts to improve his sales, denying consumers their rights to cancel. When i asked to speak to the store manager he said no dont worry i will sort it out my way. I am not going to pay.
