Seriously? Is it my phone or not?

On the day of 18 Dec 2013, I noticed I lost my phone. I called my insurance for what's needed to process a claim. they confirmed I needed an ITC number (Which you'll get with your service provider), I use Vodacom. I called them, spoke to Ms/ Mrs Kuzwayo and she asked my the following: When was the last time you recharged and by how much? Maybe last month by R110.What is the balance of your airtime? Maybe R10/ R11. I don't know for sure.
When was the last time you exchanged points? I don't exchange points. Lungile was "kind" enough, to say they won't process my claim, as she is not sure whether I'm lying or not. I understand that, now my problem is this: In this world of now, who's have the time to keep an eye out for all balances and stuff. Maybe you have kids, that loves to play with your cellphone. If you recharged yesterday, because your kid/s played with it, are you going to check your balance again? Vodacom, please ask relevant questions that's easy to remember! Like, what number you called last? What was the last email/ watsup/ bbm or whatever you've seen on your phone! oh sorry, didn't mean to call it my phone!
