VODACOM sabotages victims of crime

I was the unfortunate victim of a smash and grab in Pretoria on Sunday just past. My cell phone service provider was Vodacom. I immediately called in to report the and asked them to block my phone. That was simple enough - did it no problem I was told I could phone in to do a free SIM swop. The security questions they require are things like what was you account balance? How could I know that? I did not have a chance to ask the if I could quickly check it before he now could I? Also want to know obscure info about purchases done months ago - how am I supposed to remember that? I can answer any other questions about every other detail. It is the end of the month - I need to do my online banking. I do not have a car to get to a shop now to go through the whole rigmarole and pay for a SIM swop. I rely on my cell number for business and have used it for years. Now it is impossible for me to do a SIM swop on a number I myself blocked so I could keep it! I can answer any other questions that they ask but because I cannot ever remember buying talking points and to what amount they won't do the SIM swop. No online for me - stranded. Thanks Vodacom.
