Insured Cellphone declined to be repaired

I got my Samsung Galaxy S3 the same day it was launched at Vodacom Tyger Valley. Started with a Top Up Contract and they also recommended I take the insurance which they insured me covers EVERYTHING from water damage - to - ... basically whatever. I now had the phone for almost 2 years and have been paying an extra R150 p.m. for insurance. Last week I accidently dropped the phone and the screen cracked. Now the insurance is declining my repair... what the! what's the point in having insurance then.
