Vodacom
Not respecting consumers rights

I wonder if there is someone who can assist me with this query. I received a Samsung Galaxy S2 for Christmas. After many problems and being booked in 4 times it was replaced with a Samsung Galaxy S3. The handset is currently at one of your repair centres as the battery swelled. I booked it in on the 10th of November 2013 and have till this time and date NOT receive any feedback from Vodacom. On Friday 15 November 2013 I had to call several numbers to get feedback and having to deal with extremely rude staff. I was told that I have to pay for the new battery because the new S3, I assume it is new as I was the one who broke the seal, falls under the warranty of the S2. The S2 was purchased in December and activiated the 25th December 2012, the S3 was received by your walk in centre, Greenacers, Port Elizabeth, 15 May 2013.(see attached) This to me does not make sense because firstly it is not a refurbished and secondly it is a different handset. So if my S2 was 18months old when it was replaced with S3 or even s4 or it might even by that time have been an S5 the phones warranty will only last for 6 months?

Or have I maybe been given a refurbished phone? next step CPA board!
