I have no option but to report my complaint here as my calls exceeding 1hour to the 808 customer care on Tuesday 18/06/2013 is never answered.

I purchased a 2nd hand cellphone (Blackberry 9900) from a work colleague with 20 months warranty remaining. During the 1st month, the phone had a problem and was booked in at MTN by the original owner, as I was not allowed to book the phone in as it was not on my name.
The handset was swopped out and I was given a refurbished handset, as according to MTN, I did not qualify for a brand new handset as MTN calculates the 6months to include the month of purchase.

I now have another problem with the handset and MTN refuses to accept the handset without the original owner's ID, despite that fact that I have all the paperwork regarding this handset and the swop and 18months warranty

My 2nd query is relating to my Samsung Galaxy S3 which was acquired on my upgrade on 07 January 2013 and was booked in on Monday 17 June 2013 (5months and 10 days old). The consultant advised that I would not be entitled to a new handset but a refurbished handset, in the event of the phone being swopped, as, according to MTN my phone is 6 months and 10 days.
