On the 28th of November I emailed MTN to terminate my contract at the end of March 2013 in line with the CPA.
MTN responded with a termination charge of exactly half of what the phone "costs".

I signed up for the contract after the new CPA came into effect. MTN advertised that the device came free if I take out that specific contract. I replied to MTN informing them that this is not legal and they just ignore my emails and keep telling me they cannot exclude the device fee from the contact.
This is not my problem, as I signed up for the contract under national regulation and it was MTN's responsibility to update their terms and agreements in their contracts and advertisements.

Furthermore, I got hijacked on the 18th of January where my phone got with the car. I went to MTN to get a sim swop with my police case reference number but my request was denied. MTN instructed me to go back to the police to get an affidavid (MTN's new policy as THEIR staff are not competent to enforce RICA).

YOU stopped me from accessing my contract and I assume you will not collect any further payments from me. I don't want your sincere apologies, please just CANCEL my contract!
