Nightmare to cancel contract that they added!

Performed upgrade to my 1 contract on 24th August.
Lady in their online department captured it as new contract. On the 28th the device arrived and with it a new number with a limit of R15850.
I call 111 to rectify this error.
A lady told me she will log a call, but they will only refund me the R400 contract price once the device has been collected and then it will be cancelled.

Hour later no reference. Again contact 111 and this time i get a reference number.

4 September and i still have the device. Now i go to twitter and a guy assists me.
He gets my contract upgraded and says that the other device wil be collected with 7 days.

On the 18th September i again ask Vodacom if they are collecting the device and cancelling the incorrect contract.

On the 20th i tell them that it has been 3 weeks and no feedback or collection of device and cancellation...

25th September i contacted them again asking what is happening. They tell me it will be collected the 26th.
Still NOTHING!
It has now been 1 month.

This device (Galaxy S4) is not insured and if it gets lost i am liable for the 24 month contract.
R400 being deducted, wonder if must block debit order?
