I have a phone which I use when cycling as to not cause damage to my handset in the event of a accident. For this phone I purchased a Vodacom Sim Card, went through the RICA process. Purchased and additional R50 airtime. When I wanted to use this phone recently it said Sim inactive, so of-course I go and see the Main Vodacom Outlet in Midrand, Here I get told that someone will see be but only in one and a half hours, I duly decline, my weekend time is far to valuable to waste sitting waiting for a consultant. I then proceed to the nearest Vodacom shop at ORT International where I get told my card has subsequently been cancelled due to inadequate use. So where is my R60 airtime gone? Well if I am one in a million caught with this Vodacom Policy, So now lets see One million have the same problem that = 60 Million rands, I am of the opinion that this is of what I purchased. I was not notified that this card is going to be cancelled. I just hope that Vodacom does not become a Bank and if your account is not used frequently it is subsequently cancelled all funds forfeited. This in my opinion is bad business practice, Not once did anyone explain how to recover my funds
