I pre-registered for the new iphone 5S on the vodacom website. I am due for an upgrade. Previously there where complaints against data used on my Blackberry, so I decided to choose a bit cheaper plan with fixed data. I chose the SMART S plan. This morning I tried to phone customer service, and after the third 20-30 minutes "holding on" I spoke to an agent. They said that we can upgrade online. She then mentioned that I do not qualify for this phone? I cannot see the reason, as I am paying more than R500 pm for the last few months. Vodacom even gave me credit for the data used on the blackberry. Now I am told that I am not good enough as customer. If the service stays this bad, and the billing for "data used" is not fixed, perhaps I must look at alternatives, such as MTN or CellC. I am disappointed VODACOM.
