We have experienced extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by Silverton Radiators in Silverton. After confirming stock availability via phone, we were informed that the radiator was sold after they had removed our car's radiator. We were initially told that the entire bumper would need to be removed; however, they decided against it. Unfortunately, there was a new chip on the corner of the bumper.
After three days, we were informed that the car was ready for pickup. We collected the vehicle and drove just around the corner, only to find water leaking from the car. When we attempted to open the bonnet, we discovered it was stuck. We returned the car, and they struggled for four hours to open the bonnet through the grill, only to find that the bonnet release catch was only clipped in on one side and not the other.
They also found that an o-ring on the radiator pipe was the cause of the leakage and replaced it on the fourth day. Additionally, a broken bottle was replaced, which had been improperly attached and was fastened with a zip tie.
I guess the state of their filthy workshop should have been an early warning, but we chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. Never again! I will not recommend this place to anyone.
