I have been a loyal vodacom client for the past 15 years. For the last month I have been in contact with vodacom online as well as Cellucity regarding the iphone 5s. I preordered my phone with vodacom direct 3 days before the launch and with Cellucity a few months ago. The package I wanted was the Smart XL. At no stage (internet pricing as well as the vodacom contact centre did they tell me about the promotional 500 meg data deal-I had even provisionally upgraded with vodacom online with no mention of this). After both Cellucity and vodacom didn't have stock I eventually got the phone on a vodacom contract through the Istore. Not knowing about the 500 meg promotion I was happy to upgrade at the Istore. On returning home I happened to come across the promotion on vodacoms website, which was available the same day that I upgraded. I really think that this is unfair as firstly no one ever told me about the promotion from vodacom online (as well as there was no mention of the promotion with the prices on cellucitys website) as well as why should I be prejudiced against by taking the contract out at the Istore. I still upgraded with vodacom like everyone else!! Very disappointed!
