Cant Upgrade

Got a notification today that I can upgrade my contract. My phone broke 2 weeks ago so I was glad to receive the news, got to Tyger Valley to find that the Virgin Mobile store closed. Then drove all the way to Cape Gate, while driving I phone to ask them where they are situated in Cape Gate, the guy tells me at entrance 1, could not find the shop eventually got to the shop and found that it was at entrance 3. Told the Lady that I got an sms to say that I can upgrade so she look on the system only to find that I can only upgrade on the 9th of November... Is this a game that virgin mobile plays with their clients to see how much they can you off??? I have been with virgin mobile for 6 years no problems no issues, what happened? I am going to a different service provider that values their clients.
