Dont send an sms if you dont mean it

My wife received an SMS today telling her she was due for an upgrade on her phone and that she must go to her nearest branch. FANTASTIC because her current phone is giving her hassles and she is desperate for her upgrade. Now you need to understand my wife is 8 months pregnant so wasting time and energy is a direct route to her having a complete sense of humor failure. Which, as it turns out, is exactly what happened. She spent some time today looking at Vodacom offers and decided on one she liked and a phone and went to the Vodacom shop after work. Only to be told by the shop that she was not due for an upgrade. When she showed the guy her sms, he said im sorry ma'am but the system wont allow me to do an upgrade even if i wanted to. So one very upset and irate pregnant woman as a result.

She asked why she received the sms, he said maybe you can upgrade online. WHAT? why would she be able to upgrade online but not at a shop. so she waddled back to my office and sat down at a computer to register online to see if she qualified for an online upgrade. But alas she kept getting messages saying we are having technical difficulties and this request cannot be processed. I said go to MTN
