Online upgrade not possible for deaf

My wife is due for an upgrade. As such I tried to upgradeher contract using the online apllication. Firstly Vodacom never phoned to confirm the upgrade. Secondly, my wife can't speak on the phone and uses it merely for text messages. Therefore when I finally contacted the call centre, I was informed that my wife needs to confirm her details, which i tried to explain is not possible. I had all her applicable detail with me. But for some reason they could not upgrade her contract although I answered every single question they could think of.

I was told that I would be contacted again to confirm the process going forward. i am still waiting on that call. I was told I could go into a store (where the contract was more expensive) and then I need to get a letter of consent from the store manager and then I can phone the call centre back. That is a lot of effort for a service that Vodacom is supposed to provide.
