I have received 10 calls from different Vodacom, Vodashop and Afrizone call centres from around the country. Each of the callers was looking for a different person for whom they were trying to do an upgrade, open a new contract or add another contract.
I had an incident where someone used my identity to upgrade my contract with Vodacom and to this day, I have not received any further feedback from Vodacom's department or an assurance that my identity is safe. As a Vodacom client, I feel unprotected and disappointed in how my information has been compromised several times after submitting an affidavit from the police and complaining. Vodacom clearly failed me because I still receive calls from one of the call centres to upgrade a contract for a name I have never heard of. Is this the typical case of generating sales at any cost even if it's to the detriment of your loyal customers' identity?
I have cancelled all my contracts with Vodacom and do not wish to ever give them my business.
