POOR SERVICE FROM MTN

I cancelled my MTN contract last week on the 8th of October 2013, spoke to Millicent she managed to process the cancellation and also to migrate my number to prepaid. Later in the day I tried using my phone. Checked *141# and says "YOU CANNOT USE THIS SERVICE UNTILL YOUR CELLPHONE NUMBER 08245 HAS BEEN REGISTERED AT ANY STORE THAT SELLS MTN STARTERPACKS". Complained this since day before yesterday and was told it will take 2 to 24 hours. Someone else tells me 24 to 48 for the whole process including RICA. This morning I get mails saying all is complete and successful, need to restart phone... still DOES NOT WORK. MTN supposed to credit me R10, but RICA is giving me problem. How can I run a contract for 4 years and still my phone is not RICA'd. This is absolutely crazy. When MTN needs their money it has to be straight away. WHERE IS THE SERVICE GUYS!!!
