My number lost

My number was on contract for 15 years, i am a very good customer and am still. When i asked for the number to be made pay as you go because of billing problems, we asked the main number and slave number to be RICA'd and made pay as you go. the number worked fine until it was recently switched off and we were told it has not been RICA'd. as the number was on contract before all the information that was needed to be RICA'd was there.

We are now sitting with two new Sim cards, one is Rica'd one isn't and they told us it takes 48 hours to RICA and now we are being told that we cannot do a Sim-swam because it has expired.
This number is a Doctor's number and it has been his emergency number for 15 years.
I was charged R140 for the first new card... no luck
No a second Sim card and still no luck.

I have supported MTN very well for years and I cannot believe that this is the service a loyal, good customer gets.
All i want is the number reconnected and working. Can someone please help me,!!!
