In Nov 2012 I requested my number to be migrated from contract to prepaid after 10 years of loyalty after service to start off with. I was told my contract only expires end Feb and I can only migrate then. I followed up again twice and was assured that the contract will end in Feb. My contract was not cancelled end Feb and I had to follow-up again end March (Now I was paying for a contract that I didn't need).
My contract was cancelled 26th March (after I folllowed up) but never migrated to prepaid as requested. I called the call centre and I was told the request was never logged. I phoned again the same day to check the progress and (new story) now I need to go RICA my prepaid number at Cell C. I went to Cell C store to RICA my number. Cell C could not pick up my number. My number was cancelled. After a lot of back and forth I was now told to go to Altech Benmore Gardens on 28th and do a sim swop. Got there and they told me they cannot do it as it was not logged on the system. I called the call centre again. I was told 2 - 24 hours for active number
It is Easter weekend. No working cell phone. I will be without a cell for a week because THEY UP!!! NEVER AGAIN!!
