Vodacom
I WANT TO CANCEL

July of 2013, I sent my Blackberry 9320 Curve in for repairs and was given the feedback that my charging port was damaged and that I had to pay R1800 to have it repaired. I informed them that my handset was covered by insurance with Vodacom and that I would have to lodge a claim. I was never sent the required documentation and I then had to follow up in September after they had said nothing since July. They faxed me the documentation which I completed and faxed back in September, I have still not received any feedback. Thereafter I called the Alberton branch and asked to speak to the manager. He asked me who had assisted me from the inception of my repair request, I told him that it was an agent by the name of Tumi. The manager simply told me to hold and then transferred me to Tumi without even attempting to probe or establish what the reason for the delay or service failure was. Vodacom is so pedantic about the documents they require or their processes, but they are just as inconsistent in following up or closing client queries. I would like to have a new device sent to me or the contract cancelled. I am not going to continue paying for a device I do not have due to incompetence.
