Vodacom
No real gaurantee

My daughters Blackberry 9320 only 9 months old with a "2 year guarantee" will no longer charge. Vodacom say 1 pin is broken on the USB plug. They say it is not covered by the guarantee, they claim abuse. The condition of the phone clearly indicates that the phone has been well cared for and not abused. They referred me to Blackberry who say they only deal with software problems and that the network "Vodacom" carries that guarantee on the hardware. I went back to Vodacom Repair Centre, they will not budge and claim it will cost R1710 to repair the phone. Blackberry uses a USB cable to charge, the cable is heavy and stiff. The connector inside the phone should have been more ridged to prevent it from being damaged with regular use. A new Blackberry 9320 can be purchased for R1800 on prepaid. I still have 15 months to go on my daughters contract with Vodacom, I am very disappointed with the lack of service from Vodacom and the lack of quality in the Blackberry device. If I took the phone to another cell phone repairer, they would be able to fix the phone for a fraction of what Vodacom wants to charge me (not that I should be paying) but then my "guarantee" would be void
