I have just been to a Vodacom franchise to get a micro sim for my IPad and have been told that due to the fact that I only recently have taken out a contract with Vodacom for my phone do I now have to wait 90 days until I can get a SIM card on contract. My complaint is twofold - Vodacoms arrogance that they don't try to help the client e.g. If you pay two months up front we could help you or something like that... it's just a "no" from the activations division, they don't talk to you, nothing. The second point is that they are happy taking money from you up front I.e. only 4 days after opening up a contract they had already debited me my first months invoice. Vodacom could have done a good thing by explaining to the client instead of leaving up to the sales person in the franchise, instead they have put a negative connotation to the whole relationship that they pride themselves on.
