I have had a contract for an iphone 4s for over a year now. The normal contract is R425.00 . obviously i have set a credit limit of R1500 to avoid a massive bill. The limit has been working fine and i have been getting a debit order of about R700 each month and my services was cut off as agreed for a year now. The last 2 months i have been getting debit order of R2000 each and my service was never cut off and didnt get a notification that my limit is almost reached. Talking to incompitent call centre agents there was said that the credit department is allowed to increase your limit as they wish and if you pay every month the credit increase to their wishes. This is totally against the consumer act and now i will risk getting reported to ITC because of this blatant daylight. I will take this as far as i can, newspapers, carte blanche. I refuse to pay this fees as credit limits gets removed without notice of the client.
