Vodacom only cares about making a sale!!

I am currently on a sim contract with Vodacom and use my boyfriends old phone. Unfortunately I broke the phone and now need a new one. Vodacom has not been helpful at all with helping me find a solution. I visited 2 stores and all they could say was open another contract or buy a new phone?? I did my own research after that and cancelled my current sim contract which only expires next Nov for R900 then I went to a store to open a new contract to receive a phone. I spoke to a consultant & said I was desperate for a phone and didn't have a spare to use. She ensured me that I would get my new phone within 4 days. It is now 12 days & still no phone, every time I call they say tomorrow. They also say I must understand that it is on back order, something they forgot to mention when I signed the new contract. I told them to cancel it & I will get a phone at another Vodacom branch but they said I cant and have to wait for a phone from their branch. They can't tell me when I will get a phone & shrug shoulders when I ask what I must do without a phone! They could have phoned other branches and arranged a phone but that would be good customer service. Still no phone or phone call from them.
