I went to East Rand Mall on Saturday 7 September and upgraded my contact. I chose a Samsung (moving away from Nokia for the first time in ages). it has turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life. The phone is a disaster! The touch screen barely responds when touched. Navigation is confusing. Its slow in response time. So much for a smart phone with a sensitive touch screen!!!
I have spent the entire morning trying to reach the East Rand Mall branch to find out whether i can exchange the phone for a Nokia as i am still within the 7 day warranty period and i feel this phone is not living up to promised expectations. However there is no answer! I finally called the 808 call centre and was told that its not company policy to give a customer a new phone despite the reasons i listed above.
I have two complaints:-
1 I am unable to reach the store.
2 I am unhappy with the response i received from customer service regarding what MTN are (un) willing to do to assist me within the 7 day period
